It is composed of two key ingredients: cellulose and recycled plastics.
Cellulose is a polymer naturally found in plants and forms the biosourced raw material used in the production of Acetate Renew™.
Recycled plastics typically come from sources such as recyclable plastic bottles, which then are processed into pellets to be incorporated into the final material.

  1. Plastic waste collection and sorting

    Once the plastic waste has been sorted, it is transformed into pellets using advanced techniques. Recycled plastics are shredded, melted and extruded to form small plastic balls called granules. These granules are then ready for use in the Acetate Renew™ manufacturing process.

    Acetate Renew™ sheets are then cut to specific patterns, then shaped to give rise to eyewear frames. Precise cutting techniques and high-tech machinery ensure impeccable shapes and quality finishes.
